Back home from hospital

Posted in Group:

Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing well. I just got home today after a week in the hospital. Was admitted for a flare up which involved abdominal pain and diarrhea almost every 3 - 4 hrs. They had me on the prednisone, flagyl and antibiotics while in there and I'm currently feeling much better. Unfortunately I was told that they found some ulcers deep in my intestine as well and I have to follow up with that in clinic.

Right now I am really looking into changing my diet and taking a more solid stance in getting things under control. I guess it's harder when you are younger and still try to enjoy life. I always seem to fall short and end up back in problems.

On the bright side I quit drinking completely for about 5 months now and will be eliminating a number of other foods as well as time goes along. WISH ME LUCK.

Wishing you tons of luck! There are a lot of online sample Crohn's menus that you should check out. Google Crohn's diet menu and several sites will pop up. You may want to try one of the more limiting diets to help your stomach and intestines heal and then slowly start adding in more approved foods.

Again, best of luck and welcome to the site!
