Crohns Disease

I was diagnosed with CD at the last part of the small intestine next to the appendix on Jan 11. I am started on Prednisone and did go back Friday to my GI who said my disease is mild and limited. He also stated when I go back after my 3 mos of tapering off the prednisone that he would proceed according to my symptoms and that he may nott need to do anything and maybe see me back in a year. Does any of this make sense to anyone at all? I am new to this and am very curious? Thank You
