Venting.....

Posted in Group:

I have had crohns since I was 14yrs old, now 33. In 2003 I had 1ft of my large bowel removed and 1ft of my small bowel removed along with reconstruction of my bowel. Since then I have not been to the doctor or been on any med's.(due to the cost) Until lately I have been feeling alittle on the sore side. I went to the doctor and had some different test along with some biospy's. I got a call today now the doctor has put me on 2 different med's for my crohn's. Being a single person wih one income coming in it's hard to pay for the med's, I do have insurance but after putting out $900.00 for copayments on the procedures it is SO hard being able to pay for the med's and pay my bills at the same time. I wish there was some kind of support from my communtity or from a charitiy that helps with paying for the medical and med's. I'm not looking at something for free, just a little relief would be helpful. I would even volunteer my time for someone to help. As I search the internet there is nothing out there in my area for the communitiy to know that there are people out there that suffer from a condition such as I have..this is so frustrating...

Check out this program, http://www.needymeds.org/resourcepages/crohns_colitis.htm
and see if it would help you in obtaining the meds you need.

Please let me know how it turns out.
